Latvia Tightens Airspace Security Measures Near Russia and Belarus

In response to escalating security threats, Latvia has expanded its nighttime airspace restrictions near the borders with Russia and Belarus. The initial restrictions, which were in place from September 11 to 18 following several regional security incidents, have been prolonged to cover nighttime hours. This move reflects the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance its air defense capabilities and mitigate potential risks posed by the proximity of hostile nations.
