NASCAR driver Daniel Suarez shared on his social media account that his wife, mother, and mother-in-law were involved in a terrifying car crash in North Carolina on Monday. The incident has left the family shaken, with the SUV they were in suffering extensive damage. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred along North Carolina 73 in eastern Lincoln County. Julia Suarez, the driver, was heading west on the highway and was about to make a left turn when she was rear-ended, causing her to drift into eastbound lanes and collide with two other vehicles. The three occupants were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Local authorities confirmed that there were no other injuries in the wreck.

Suarez, who recently competed in the Bank of America Roval 400 in Charlotte and finished seventh in the race, is an active competitor for Trackhouse Racing in the No. 99 Chevy since 2021.
