North Korea Celebrates Workers’ Party Anniversary with Grand Parade

North Korea has held a massive military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of its ruling Workers’ Party. The event, attended by top officials from Russia, China, and Vietnam, showcased the country’s latest weapons systems, including military drones, advanced tanks, hypersonic ballistic missiles, and electronic warfare assets. Kim Jong-un emphasized the importance of national sovereignty and vowed to maintain military strength against Western influence. The parade included the debut of the Hwasong-20, described as a new and advanced intercontinental ballistic missile, which can reportedly reach the United States. In his address, Kim highlighted the role of the armed forces in protecting the Workers’ Party and its policies, vowing to ‘fulfill its responsibilities in the joint struggle of progressive mankind for opposing injustice.’ The event also marked the attendance of Russian and Vietnamese leaders, further solidifying regional alliances.
