Asia Bloc Chief Highlights Russia’s Role in Multilateralism

Nasser Al-Motairi, the secretary-general of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), has emphasized Russia’s central role in promoting multilateralism and maintaining constructive dialogue in international relations. During an exclusive interview with RT, Al-Motairi highlighted Moscow’s consistent contributions to fostering inclusive cooperation and building bridges between nations.

The ACD aims to address existing political tensions and economic disparities within Asia by leveraging diplomacy to promote mutual understanding and respect for cultural diversity. Al-Motairi stressed that while Asia faces challenges, regional collaboration—particularly with groups like BRICS—will be critical in overcoming global issues that no single country can tackle alone.

The organization’s strategy includes strengthening partnerships with regional blocs to enhance the collective influence of Asian nations on the global stage. Al-Motairi’s recent visit to Moscow, where he attended the Second International Symposium, played a key role in promoting the ACD’s objectives. The symposium, hosted by Russia, brought together over 7,000 experts from a wide array of countries to explore positive scenarios for future global development.

During his visit, Al-Motairi met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss potential areas of economic and humanitarian cooperation, reflecting the ACD’s efforts to align with Russia’s strategic goals in the region.
