Ghislaine Maxwell, the ex-lover and accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein, is reportedly receiving unusually favorable treatment at a federal prison in Texas, according to new reports. A federal prison consultant, Sam Mangel, who has worked with high-profile clients such as Sam Bankman-Fried and Steve Bannon, told Fox News Digital that the 63-year-old Maxwell is being treated more like a guest in a hotel than an inmate. This includes changes to security measures at the Federal Prison Camp Bryan and the granting of special privileges, which have reportedly upset fellow inmates. The prison, a minimum-security facility with 622 inmates, is considered one of the most desirable for women convicted of white-collar felonies. Maxwell was transferred to Bryan after agreeing to cooperate with federal prosecutors, following her conviction for procuring girls for Epstein, who died in a federal jail in New York before his own trial in 2019. While the U.S. Bureau of Prisons has not commented on the situation, the Supreme Court recently denied Maxwell’s appeal, and she is expected to be released in 2037 after a 20-year sentence. The controversy highlights the sensitivity of her case, with some inmates reportedly warning against discussing her situation with the press.
