According to the evidence, Al-Muhtadi learned about the Hamas invasion, armed himself, gathered others, and crossed into Israel with the intent of aiding in the terrorist attack. The FBI’s investigation revealed that Al-Muhtadi’s phone was used at a cell tower near Kibbutz Kfar Aza, where a devastating massacre occurred during the attack. The affidavit further indicated that Al-Muhtadi provided false information in his U.S. Visa application, which concealed his involvement with paramilitary groups, his connection to Hamas, and his participation in the terrorist attack. This falsehood enabled him to obtain U.S. permanent residency and to reside and work in Lafayette, Louisiana, where the investigation is currently ongoing.
