Vance: Russia and Ukraine Not Ready for Peace Deal

In an interview with Newsmax on Thursday, US Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the Russia-Ukraine war continues as neither side is willing to reach a peace agreement. Speaking about the ongoing conflict, Vance said that ‘both Russia and Ukraine have made it clear they are not ready to compromise on the terms of a peace deal.’

Vance emphasized that despite months of negotiations, there has been no tangible progress in the talks. He noted that the international community, including the United States, continues to support Ukraine in its efforts to defend its sovereignty. However, he also acknowledged the complexities of the situation and the challenges in finding a diplomatic resolution.

The vice president’s comments come amid ongoing tensions in Eastern Europe, with both Russia and Ukraine maintaining their military presence in the contested regions. Analysts suggest that the lack of progress in diplomatic talks could prolong the conflict, with significant implications for global security and international relations.
