A 45-year-old woman from Wyandotte, Michigan, has turned to artificial intelligence to pick her lottery numbers, securing a $100,000 Powerball jackpot. Tammy Carvey, who bought her ticket online for the Sept. 6 drawing, utilized ChatGPT to generate the winning numbers, which she played on her ticket.
Carvey’s win places her among a growing number of lottery players using AI to improve their odds of winning. The Michigan Lottery highlighted Carvey’s achievement, noting that she matched four white balls and the Powerball, with her Power Play option doubling her winnings to $100,000.
Carvey recently visited the Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim her prize and plans to use the winnings to pay off her home mortgage and save the remainder. She is not the first to use AI for lottery success, with Virginia grandmother Carrie Edwards also using ChatGPT for Powerball and donating her winnings to charity.
