Fort Worth, Texas — In a heart-stopping incident on Interstate 30, police officers and dedicated Good Samaritans worked together to rescue a 1-year-old baby who was pinned under an overturned vehicle following a crash. The dramatic rescue, captured on body camera footage, showcased the bravery and quick thinking of both law enforcement and civilians.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday when officers were called to the scene after reports of a woman and her child being ejected from a vehicle. Upon arrival, they found an overturned car and an air of tension as Good Samaritans rushed to search for survivors in the wreckage.

As the officers and citizens scoured the debris, one officer could be heard shouting, “Hey! Over here,” as they realized the baby was trapped beneath the car. With the help of witnesses, Sgt. R. Nichols and Officer E. Bounds worked alongside civilians to lift the vehicle, freeing the child.

Dramatic footage shows the infant unresponsive at first, with officers performing CPR to revive her before paramedics arrived to take her to a nearby hospital. Approximately three minutes after the rescue, the infant was awake and crying, indicating a positive outcome.
