ICE Arrests 3-Time Deported Alien Facing Assault Charges

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Carlos Ramirez-Guzman, an El Salvadoran national, who has a history of violent crimes and has been previously deported multiple times. Ramirez-Guzman was arrested on October 17 in Arlington, Virginia, after being detained by ICE agents. Officials say he was previously deported in 2006, 2014, and 2016, yet managed to re-enter the U.S. at an unknown time and place, evading immigration authorities.

Ramirez-Guzman faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, domestic battery, and resisting arrest. He also has a record of exhibiting a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. DHS assistant secretary for public affairs, Tricia McLaughlin, stated that Ramirez-Guzman’s criminal history and repeated reentries into the U.S. will finally be addressed under the current administration.

McLaughlin emphasized that Ramirez-Guzman’s long-running crime spree will be dealt with under the leadership of President Donald Trump and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. She added, ‘GOOD RIDDANCE, you are not welcome in this country.’ Ramirez-Guzman will remain in ICE custody pending his removal from the United States.

In a post on social media, ICE also thanked the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service for assisting with the operation.
