Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has issued a stark condemnation of Russia’s actions during the full-scale invasion, accusing the country of committing six serious crimes against children. These allegations are based on a UN Security Council resolution that outlines grave violations. The report states that Russia has killed 661 children, injured 2,203, and destroyed or damaged more than 4,500 schools. Additionally, over 19,000 Ukrainian children have been deported, and there have been at least 23 documented cases of sexual violence against children. The Prosecutor General’s remarks underscore the severity of these crimes and their impact on the civilian population, particularly the most vulnerable, such as children. The report highlights the need for international accountability and justice for these atrocities, which are considered war crimes under international law.
