JD Vance Speaks on UFOs, Suggesting Spiritual Forces May Be at Play

Vice President JD Vance has suggested that some unexplained UFO sightings could be attributed to spiritual forces rather than extraterrestrial life. In an interview, he emphasized the importance of investigating the phenomena and expressed a personal belief that such occurrences might involve unseen spiritual influences on the physical world.

Vance spoke with New York Post columnist Miranda Devine on her podcast ‘Pod Force One,’ where he acknowledged the growing public and political interest in the topic. He admitted that he has not yet had the time to fully investigate the subject but reiterated his commitment to uncovering the truth. ‘I can’t allow myself to become so busy that I don’t get to the bottom of this. I will get to the bottom of this,’ he stated, highlighting his determination to explore the issue thoroughly.

The vice president also noted his longstanding interest in the subject, particularly with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who shares similar concerns. Their fascination with unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) dates back to their time in the Senate, and both men have consistently expressed a desire to understand the nature of these events. Vance framed his views through the lens of faith rather than fear, suggesting that the unknown could involve elements beyond our current understanding, such as guardian angels or spiritual forces that operate in ways we do not yet comprehend.

When Devine mentioned that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard had also expressed openness to the possibility of alien life, Vance maintained his focus on spiritual interpretations. ‘I wouldn’t say that I do or don’t believe it,’ he said. ‘I’m a big believer that there are things out there that we can’t explain. If another person sees an alien, maybe I see an angel or a demon. I think there are spiritual forces working on the physical world that a lot of us don’t see or understand.’

Vance’s remarks came as interest in UFOs continues to grow within the U.S. government. Rep. Jared Moskowitz, a Democrat from Florida, recently accused the federal government of concealing information about UAP sightings, arguing that military whistleblowers have credible experiences that deserve transparency. The hearing featured dramatic testimony and visuals, including previously unseen footage showing a U.S. Reaper drone firing a Hellfire missile at a fast-moving ‘orb’ that appeared to survive the strike, an exhibit introduced by Rep. Eric Burlison, a Republican from Missouri.

Lawmakers from both parties pressed witnesses on whether defense and intelligence agencies were withholding evidence of unexplained aerial encounters. The bipartisan panel, chaired by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, focused on declassifying materials and strengthening whistleblower protections for military personnel who report UAP incidents, echoing Moskowitz’s call for greater honesty from the Pentagon. This growing interest underscores the bipartisan nature of the conversation, with both Republicans and Democrats seeking transparency and a deeper understanding of these phenomena.

During the interview, Vance also praised Rubio as his ‘best friend’ in the administration and dismissed speculation about a potential 2028 presidential ticket as ‘premature.’ ‘It feels so premature,’ he said. ‘If we take care of business, the politics will take care of itself.’
