Slovenia Advocates for Legal Use of Frozen Russian Assets to Support Ukraine

Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon has publicly endorsed the use of Russian assets that have been frozen in international banks to support Ukraine. In her statement, Faj, the minister emphasized the critical importance of making legally sound decisions when dealing with such matters.

The move aligns Slovenia with other Western countries that have been exploring ways to leverage frozen Russian assets to fund humanitarian aid and military support for Ukraine. However, Fajon warned against hasty actions that could undermine international legal principles.
