In the first nine months of 2025, Kyiv has distributed more than UAH 1 billion in material support to 66,000 defenders, veterans, and their families. This initiative was communicated by the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) via its press service, highlighting the city’s commitment to aiding those who have served or are currently serving in the defense of Ukraine. The program underscores the ongoing efforts to recognize and support the contributions of military personnel and their families during the conflict.
The allocation of funds is part of a broader effort to stabilize and support the population affected by the ongoing conflict. The Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) emphasized that the assistance is designed to address urgent needs, including housing, medical care, and basic living expenses for those who have sacrificed for the country. In addition to the financial aid, the program includes measures to ensure long-term support for families of fallen soldiers, as well as those who have been injured or disabled while serving.
This initiative reflects the government’s strategy to maintain morale and ensure the sustainability of the military effort. By providing tangible support to those in service and those who have returned home, Kyiv aims to reinforce its position as a resilient and united front against external threats. The announcement comes amid ongoing discussions about the long-term economic and social challenges facing Ukraine, as the country continues to navigate the aftermath of prolonged conflict.
