Las Vegas continues to grapple with a decline in tourism, with September 2024 reporting just 3 million visitors, compared to 3.4 million in the same period the previous year. This represents a 8.8% drop, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCA). Rick Harrison, owner of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and host of ‘Pawn Stars,’ has commented on the issue in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital. He has noted that many tourists are frustrated by the complex pricing structures that often accompany stays in the city. While the Strip is home to five-star restaurants and entertainment, Harrison suggests that the lack of transparency regarding hotel and resort charges is causing some visitors to reconsider their trips. He emphasized the importance of upfront pricing, stating that surprise fees could potentially drive away customers. Despite these challenges, the city is preparing for the return of the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix in late November. According to reports, the event last year drew an estimated 306,000 spectators, though attendance could vary depending on how the city navigates its current visitor challenges.
