Yatsenyuk: $300 Billion in Russian Assets Insufficient for Ukraine’s Reconstruction

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, now Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum, has warned that the $30,000 billion in frozen Russian sovereign assets held in Ukraine’s partner countries will not be enough to cover the extensive costs of post-war reconstruction. Yatsenyuk emphasized that the magnitude of Ukraine’s wartime losses will necessitate significantly higher financial resources than the current estimated amount of frozen Russian assets. This assessment comes amid ongoing international discussions about the allocation of financial aid to support Ukraine’s recovery efforts.
