Construction and Assembly Costs Rise 5.2% in Ukraine
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, prices for construction and assembly works in September 2025 rose by 5.2% compared to the same month in 2024. This increase follows a 6.1% surge in August 2025, continuing a trend of double-digit growth in the sector.
The data underscores ongoing inflationary pressures within the construction industry, which could impact both developers and residential buyers. The rise in costs is attributed to a combination of rising material prices, labor shortages, and increased demand for residential and commercial projects. As the country continues to recover from the war, the construction sector faces challenges in balancing cost increases with affordability for end-users.
Economists warn that the continued upward trend in construction costs could have broader implications for Ukraine’s economy. Higher building costs may delay infrastructure projects and increase the financial burden on households looking to purchase property. The National Bank of Ukraine is closely monitoring the situation, as inflationary pressures in key sectors like construction can affect overall economic stability.
