Ukrzaliznytsia Reports Significant Decline in Revenue and Net Loss for 9M 2025

Ukrzaliznytsia, the state-owned railway company of Ukraine, has reported a significant decline in revenue and a net loss for the first nine months of 2025. According to the company’s financial statements released to Interfax-Ukraine, the income from regular operations decreased by 15.4% compared to the same period in 2024, dropping to UAH 66.03 billion. This is a marked contrast to the net profit of UAH 1.66 billion that the company recorded in the same period of 2024.

The financial results reflect the challenging conditions faced by Ukrzaliznytsia in 2025, including potential impacts from economic instability, infrastructure maintenance costs, and operational constraints. The company’s performance raises concerns about its ability to sustain operations and meet financial obligations in the current economic environment. These results also highlight the broader economic challenges facing Ukraine, particularly as the country continues to navigate its path towards economic recovery and stability.
