GOP Congressman Demands Federal Action Against Sanctuary States for Licensing Illegal Immigrant Truckers

Florida Congressman Byron Donalds has intensified calls for a federal crackdown on sanctuary states after a joint operation between ICE and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested 70 illegal immigrants, including 34 accused of operating commercial trucks without proper legal status. The arrests, part of Operation Guardian, highlight the growing safety concerns linked to undocumented drivers obtaining commercial licenses in states such as California, Illinois, New York, and New Jersey, according to Donalds.

Donalds argued that these policies not only undermine federal immigration laws but also place American citizens at risk, as they face potential dangers from drivers who cannot read road signs or understand U.S. traffic rules.
