Kyivstar, Ukraine’s largest mobile operator, is currently facing severe network disruptions, with more than 30% of its infrastructure without power. This marks one of the most critical service outages the company has experienced since the summer of 2024. CEO Oleksandr Komarov has issued a public appeal to fixed-internet users, urging them to arrange backup power sources for their routers to ensure they can stay connected during the ongoing disruptions.
The situation highlights the growing challenges of maintaining stable communication services amid the ongoing conflict in the region. Kyivstar’s CEO emphasized the importance of preparedness, noting that the outages are part of a broader effort to protect critical infrastructure. While the exact cause of the outages has not been disclosed, the company has assured customers that it is actively working to restore full service as quickly as possible.
