Russian authorities have indicated that several airports previously closed due to the war in Ukraine are now prepared to resume operations, pending military approval. Flights at 11 airports across southern and central Russia were suspended in February 2022 following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Three of these airports have since been reopened, suggesting a gradual return to normalcy in the region’s air travel infrastructure.
