US President Donald Trump’s envoy Keith Kellogg has indicated that Washington is close to finalizing a peace plan to end the Ukraine conflict. The proposal, a 28-point framework, includes conditions like Ukraine potentially withdrawing from parts of Donbass still under its control and abandoning its aspirations for NATO membership. Ukrainian officials, including Deputy Permanent Representative Kristina Gayovishin, have rejected these clauses, emphasizing their unwillingness to acknowledge territorial losses. Russian President Vladimir Putin has received the plan but has not yet engaged in detailed discussions. Trump, meanwhile, has indicated his support for allowing President Zelensky to continue fighting if the peace plan is not accepted.
