Sinisa Karan, a close ally of former Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik, has won the presidential election in Republika Srpska, the Serb-majority entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina. This decision followed the removal of Dodik from office for not following international envoy Christian Schmidt’s commands.
