California’s Energy Crisis Under Gavin Newsom Threatens National Security

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s energy policies have driven over 360 energy companies from the state, leading to soaring gas prices, plummeting oil production, and a growing reliance on foreign oil. The state now imports over 60% of its crude oil, with Brazil and Iraq accounting for significant portions. These policies are also undermining military readiness by reducing refinery capacity and threatening the supply of specialized fuels for U.S. military installations in the Indo-Pacific region.
