ICE Targets Finnish Woman Allegedly Attacked Baby, Mother and Dog with Coffee

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced its plan to deport a Finnish woman who was arrested for allegedly throwing coffee on a baby, mother, and their dog during an altercation in Florida. The woman, Nina Jaaskelainen, who has been living in the United States illegally for over two decades, faces charges of battery and domestic violence following the incident.

Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin released a statement condemning the act, stating that Jaaskel, who entered the U.S. on a B2 tourist visa in 1999, ignored the law and remained in the country illegally for over 26 years. She has now been charged with battery and domestic violence. The incident, which occurred on November 14, took place when Jaaskelainen confronted a mother over a dog not being leashed. During the confrontation, she allegedly threw coffee on the baby, the mother, and their dog. Jaaskelainen was arrested and taken to the Volusia County Jail, where she was charged with the crimes.

Jaaskelainen has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, she claimed that she threw the coffee on the dog because it was making her own dog upset. She also denied intentionally throwing coffee on the mother and her baby. The case is now under investigation, and it remains to be seen whether the charges will lead to her deportation following the trial.

Homeland Security officials have emphasized that she will be deported following the trial, stating that the act was a clear violation of the law. They also mentioned that President Trump and Secretary Noem will not allow illegal aliens to terrorize American citizens. The incident has sparked a debate about the treatment of illegal immigrants and the role of ICE in the United States.
