Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, remains optimistic that CeeDee Lamb will have a standout performance in the team’s Thanksgiving Day showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs, despite the receiver’s recent struggles with dropped passes.
Lamb’s inability to secure crucial catches was a setback after the Cowboys’ recent victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, where he endured three dropped passes, one of which could have resulted in a touchdown. This issue has raised concerns as Lamb is on the verge of becoming the first Dallas Cowboys receiver to reach 7,000 career receiving yards in his first six seasons.
Yet, Prescott is undeterred, expressing confidence in Lamb’s ability to bounce back from these setbacks. ‘Huge game,’ he remarked, underscoring his belief in the wideout’s previous resilience and performance after similar struggles. Earlier this season, Lamb faced similar challenges in the season opener against the Eagles but bounced back with a strong performance against the New York Giants in the following week.
He also demonstrated his composure after missing time due to a high ankle sprain, returning with five receptions for 110 yards in a dominant 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders. His performance continues to show his ability to recover from setbacks, a trait Prescott values highly.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer further emphasized his faith in Lamb’s capabilities, highlighting the receiver’s love for high-pressure situations and his competitive drive. ‘He loves the bright lights,’ Schottenheimer noted, expressing his confidence that Lamb will be at the top of his game against the Chiefs.
