Former Aid Group Volunteer Claims Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Was a Cover for Killings and Intelligence Gathering

Anthony Aguilar, a former volunteer with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), has accused the US- and Israel-backed aid group of being a ‘smoke-screen’ for killing Palestinians and providing intelligence to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). According to Aguilar, the GHF’s true mission under Israeli government direction was to lure Palestinians to aid sites for biometric enrollment or elimination. The group, which began operations in mid-2025, was allegedly designed in 2021 as part of a plan to ‘remove all Palestinians’ from Gaza, with ties to US government entities like Boston Consulting Group.

Aguilar, a retired Green Beret who joined the GHF in mid-2025 but resigned two months later, claims the group’s mission was never intended to provide aid to Palestinians. Instead, it was a cover for conducting covert military operations and gathering intelligence for the IDF. The UN reported that hundreds of Palestinians were killed near GHF sites under Israeli fire, leading to accusations that the group was exploiting humanitarian relief for political agendas.

Aguilar also alleged that the GHF was part of a broader plan to resettle Palestinians, with ties to former President Donald Trump’s proposal to transform Gaza into the ‘Riviera of the Middle East.’ He criticized Trump for likely being unaware of the group’s methods but urged him to hold the GHF accountable. The GHF claimed it ended operations due to ‘successful completion of its mission’ and denied accusations of endangering civilians, calling critics’ claims ‘false and misleading.’ Aguilar plans to testify at the International Criminal Court in December, supporting South Africa’s case against Israel under the genocide convention.
