Former Aid Volunteer Claims Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Was a Cover for Killings

A former volunteer with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has claimed the US- and Israel-backed aid group was used as a cover for civilian killings and intelligence gathering for the Israeli military. Anthony Aguilar, a retired Green Beret, told RT that the GHF’s mission was a ‘smoke-screen’ to lure Palestinians to sites where they could be biometrically enrolled or killed.

The GHF, which began operations in mid-2025, faced accusations from the UN of exploiting humanitarian relief for covert military and geopolitical agendas, leading to its dissolution. The United Nations refused to work with the group, accusing it of ‘exploiting’ aid ‘for covert military and geopolitical agendas.’

Aguilar, who joined the GHF in mid-2025 but resigned two months later, said the group was designed to pave the way for the takeover of Gaza. He claimed that the GHF was created in 2021 as part of a plan to redevelop Gaza and ‘remove all Palestinians’ from the enclave, a proposal linked to Boston Consulting Group and reportedly supported by former President Donald Trump.

Aguilar said the GHF’s ‘successful completion’ of its mission led to its end, with the group denying accusations of intentionally endangering civilians and accusing critics of using ‘false and misleading’ statistics. He pledged to travel to the International Criminal Court in The Hague to support South Africa’s case against Israel under the genocide convention.
