Ukrenergo Head Highlights Enhanced Energy Sector Preparedness

The chairman of Ukrenergo, Vitaliy Zaichenko, highlighted that the energy sector has significantly improved its readiness to manage potential blackouts resulting from Russian shelling. This enhanced preparedness was noted following the challenges faced in the fall of 2022, where such an event occurred. Zaichenko emphasized that the sector has made substantial progress in resilience and response capabilities, ensuring a more robust defense against future threats. The improvements are attributed to lessons learned from past incidents and increased investment in infrastructure and security measures.
