A 21-year-old Hispanic female sailor, Angelina Petra Resendiz, has vanished from Naval Station Norfolk, raising concerns among her family and authorities. Virginia State Police are actively searching for her, and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) has confirmed an investigation into her disappearance.
Resendiz’s mother, Esmeralda Castle, described her daughter as ‘loving’ and ‘kind’ in an interview with WVEC. Castle noted that Resendiz, a culinary specialist, has not responded to calls or texts from her family, which is out of character. Resendiz was last seen at her barracks in Miller Hall on May 29, and her disappearance is considered critical, with her health at risk.
