Ukraine Launches Schoolchild Package Payments for First-Graders

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced today that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has launched the Schoolchild Package payments, providing a sum of UAH 5,000 to families for the purchase of essential items for first-graders. The initiative is part of a broader effort to support education and ensure that children have access to necessary resources as they begin their academic journey.

The Schoolchild Package is designed to alleviate the financial burden on families, particularly those with young children. The funds will cover the cost of school supplies, uniforms, and other educational materials required for the first year of primary education. This measure is expected to benefit thousands of families across Ukraine, especially those facing economic challenges.

Commenting on the announcement, Shmyhal emphasized the importance of providing children with a strong educational foundation. He stated that the government is committed to supporting families and ensuring that no child is left behind in terms of educational opportunities. The program is being implemented in collaboration with various local authorities and educational institutions to ensure efficient distribution of the funds.
