White House Announces New Leadership for DOJ’s Waste Reduction Efforts

President Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet will now lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) following Elon Musk’s departure. Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, had been overseeing the initiative to cut $2 trillion from the federal budget by reducing spending and government programs. The White House announced that the entire Cabinet, including Trump himself, will now take charge of the mission, which aims to combat waste, fraud, and abuse in federal operations.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized the commitment of the Cabinet and Trump to the DOGE mission, stating that the president is ‘wholeheartedly committed to cutting waste, fraud and abuse from our government.’
