Franklin Graham and Zelenskyy Discuss Prayer and Peace Amid Escalating Ukraine War

Franklin Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Berlin, where he shared prayers for peace and divine guidance for the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Graham emphasized the belief that only God can provide a resolution to the escalating war, praying for wisdom and a path forward for all involved.

The visit occurred amidst heightened military tensions and an intensifying Russian campaign in Ukraine. Zelenskyy, who has called for a trilateral summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump, expressed gratitude for the humanitarian aid and prayers received from the American public and the White House. The meeting coincided with the European Congress on Evangelism, marking the first such gathering in Berlin in 25 years and underscoring the role of faith-based initiatives in addressing global crises.

As the conflict enters its third year, European leaders have shown continued solidarity with Ukraine, while Russia’s military operations intensify. Graham’s efforts highlight the intersection of faith and diplomacy, with the Christian community playing a pivotal role in supporting Ukraine’s defense and advocating for peace through spiritual and humanitarian means.
