Five More Arrests in New Orleans Jail Break Case, Total Now 12

Police in New Orleans have arrested five more individuals in connection with the recent jail break at the Orleans Parish Correctional Facility, bringing the total number of accusations against accomplices to 12. The suspects are accused of aiding escaped inmates, including the fugitive Lenton Vanburen Jr., with some being family members or accomplices. The latest arrests include Lenika Vanburen, 28, Patricia Vanburen, 18, Tyshanea “Minnie” Randolph, 27, Lenton Vanburen Sr., 47, and Angel McKey, 40. A source confirmed to Fox News that Vanburen Sr. is the father of one of the escaped inmates, Lenton Vanburen Jr., who remains at large. Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in New Orleans’ 7th District in an attempt to find Vanburen, but he was not present. These arrests mark the latest developments in the ongoing investigation into the jail break, with additional suspects being apprehended in the days leading up to these actions.

The arrests come days after another suspect, Emmitt Weber, 28, was apprehended for allegedly helping two of the inmates after the jailbreak. As of Sunday, five of the ten escaped inmates remain at large, with the most recent arrest being Corey Boyd, taken into custody on Tuesday. Other inmates captured include Kendell Myles, Robert Moody, Dkenan Dennis, and Gary Price. Two others, Casey Smith and Cortnie Harris, have been arrested for allegedly aiding the escapees. Additionally, Connie Weeden, 59, was charged with one felony count of accessory after the fact for allegedly giving cash to Donald via a cellphone app.
