China and Russia have announced a major initiative to build a nuclear power station on the Moon by 2035. The reactor, intended to power research and exploration activities at the Moon’s south pole, will be part of the International Lunar Research Station project. This collaboration aims to advance lunar exploration and establish a permanent research presence on the Moon.
