President Donald Trump fulfilled the birthday wish of 104-year-old World War II veteran Denver Moore by sending a surprise video message, following Moore’s viral TikTok invitation that garnered over 890,000 views. Moore, who has been a lifelong supporter of the president, initially invited Trump to his birthday celebration in a video that went viral in March. The president, currently on a whirlwind historic tour to the Middle East, sent the message through his congressman, Rep. Michael Rulli, R-Ohio, to celebrate Moore’s 104th birthday.
Moore, who lives at Danbury Senior Living Facility in Massillon, Ohio, shared his reaction to the message in a report by WEWS News 5 Cleveland reporter Rob Powers. After watching the video, Moore joked about Trump fulfilling his birthday wish, saying, ‘Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.’ The message from Trump expressed gratitude for Moore’s service to the nation and his support for the ‘Make America Great Again’ campaign, while also noting that the president was unable to attend the birthday party due to his international commitments.
Congressman Michael Rulli expressed admiration for Moore’s life and service, highlighting the significance of his milestone and his deep sense of patriotism. Rulli stated that when he saw the viral video, he was struck by Moore’s incredible life and his commitment to service. He also praised the team at Danbury Senior Living for their efforts in making Moore’s birthday unforgettable. Moore’s family and friends noted that he remains mentally sharp and physically active, attributing his longevity to staying active, working, and marrying the right partner.
Moore, who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII, has been a staunch supporter of Trump and has expressed agreement with most of the president’s actions. He shared his thoughts on the importance of staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, saying, ‘I was always active, doing something. I carried mail for 20 years, walking, and that was good. I grew up on a farm. We did everything. And if we didn’t have anything to do, we created something. So it’s just this: stay active.’ Moore also emphasized the importance of marrying the right woman and living with her for life.
