US President Donald Trump has stated his intention to supply Ukraine with more anti-air Patriot missiles, following recent Russian strikes. During a press conference at Joint Base Andrews, Trump emphasized that the decision was prompted by the Russian President’s actions. The President remarked, “We will send them Patriots, which they desperately need, because Putin really surprised a lot of people. He talks nice and then bombs everybody in the evening. But there’s a little bit of a problem there. I don’t like it.”
The announcement comes after several US media outlets reported that Trump is considering approving a new military aid package, which might include both defensive and offensive missiles. This decision aligns with Trump’s recent increase in criticism towards Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he has blamed for the lack of progress in the US-mediated negotiations between Moscow and Kiev.
