New Study Highlights Crisis in Workforce Preparedness for Class of 2025

Despite 7 million open jobs in the United States, graduates of the Class of 2025 are struggling to find employment, highlighting a stark misalignment between education systems and the needs of the business world. The National unemployment rate for young adults aged 20 to 24 has reached a decade-high of 6.6%, with high-school graduates aged 18 to 19 facing an even grimmer outlook at 14.5%. A recent report by the HarrisX research consultancy, funded by the Schultz Family Foundation, warns that school-to-work pathways are deeply fragmented, leaving many young Americans unprepared for the rapidly evolving job market.
