A Texas tourist who visited Florida has won a $1 million lottery prize, according to the Florida Lottery. David Le, a resident of Katy, Texas, purchased the winning ticket at a Walmart Supercenter in Cape Coral. The $1 million prize was part of the $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular Scratch-Off Game, which offers 234 prizes of $1 million. However, Le opted for a lump-sum payment, resulting in a $640,000 payout. The Florida Lottery noted that scratch-off games make up approximately 74% of ticket sales and have awarded more than $65.5 billion in prizes since their inception. The news follows a recent case where a homeless man in California won $1 million through a lottery ticket purchased at a liquor store.
