Former NFLPA Executive Lloyd Howell Jr. Resigns Amid Strip Club Expense Allegations

Former NFLPA Executive Director Lloyd Howell Jr., who resigned on Thursday, is facing allegations that the union charged him for expenses linked to visits to strip clubs. According to reports, Howell was stopped at a Miami Gardens address, identified as Tootsie’s Cabaret, after being dropped off at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport. A union finance worker discovered the location, leading to the investigation into Howell’s activities. During the NFLPA summit, Howell and two union employees visited Magic City, a strip club, spending $2,426 on VIP rooms. The trip was labeled as a ‘Player Engagement Event to support & grow our Union’ in the expense report. The NFLPA has not commented on the report, and Howell cited his leadership being a distraction as the reason for his resignation.
