Former Reality TV star and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak and her estranged husband, former NFL player Kroy Biermann, are navigating their lives after a complicated divorce that began in 2023, following nearly 12 years of marriage. Despite efforts to reconcile, the couple has faced multiple attempts to end their union, with Biermann filing for divorce in May of 2023. Zolciak responded by filing her own petition shortly after, and though the couple briefly reunited, Biermann eventually refiled for divorce in August of that same year.
Biermann sought sole legal and physical custody of their four children, which included the adoption of Zolciak’s adult daughters from a previous relationship, Brielle and Ariana Zolciak-Biermann. The couple’s marriage was highlighted in a spin-off reality show titled “Don’t Be Tardy,” which chronicled their rowdy antics. Over the last two years, the divorce proceedings have become increasingly contentious, with allegations of drug use, unfit parenting, and financial issues surfacing. In June, Zolciak’s daughter, Ariana Biermann, expressed her hope that her parents might reunite, stating on the podcast “Casual Chaos” that while she wished for their reconciliation, she also acknowledged the emotional damage that had been done.
Zolciak has since rekindled her relationship with her parents and moved into a new home, while Biermann has transitioned from sports to a career in sales at Superior Rigging and Erecting Co. in Atlanta. Both are now focusing on personal and professional development, marking a new phase in their lives following the end of their marriage.
