Roman Reigns and Jey Uso delivered an epic performance to kick off the first night of SummerSlam, defeating Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a bruising tag-team match. The rivalry intensified as both teams engaged in a hard-hitting contest, with Reigns making a triumphant return after a betrayal by Paul Heyman.
The match, which kicked off SummerSlam Night 1, took place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Reigns, who had been sidelined since his betrayal at WrestleMania 41, faced off against Breakker and Reed, who had Paul Heyman in their corner. The former Bloodline members had been on a tear since their allegiance to Seth Rollins, and the match was a test of their endurance and strategy.
The match started with an all-out brawl as Reigns and Uso delivered the pain and took out their opponents. The former Bloodline members got a little too cocky and started to dance in the early goings, but Breakker broke it up and dragged Reigns to the outside. Uso went up top and hit a splash. Breaker and Reed soon got back in control of the match.
Reed and Breakker went to work as Breakker’s flying elbow knocked out Reigns on the outside.
