Wyatt Sicks Defend WWE Tag Team Titles in Epic TLC Match at SummerSlam

The Wyatt Sicks, comprised of Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy, entered SummerSlam as the WWE Tag Team Champions and emerged victorious in a highly anticipated and chaotic six-pack TLC match. The event showcased the extreme nature of the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) format, with numerous near-falls and high-impact spots that kept the crowd on edge throughout the match.

Among the competitors vying for the titles were the Motor City Machineguns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley), the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins), Fraxiom (Nathan Fraser and Axiom), DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa), and the team of Andrade and Rey Fenix. The stakes were further heightened by the presence of legendary WWE tag teams such as Bubba Ray Dudley and D’Von Dudley, along with Matt and Jeff Hardy, who were on hand to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first official TLC match at SummerSlam.

The action quickly escalated, with Gacy attempting to throw Ford through a table in the corner of the ring, only to void the move by jumping over the table and landing on three competitors. Later, DIY’s Johnny Gargano executed a springboard DDT, sending Gacy through a table, while Lumis delivered a legdrop onto Ford, also through a table. Andrade and Fenix added to the chaos by hitting a frog splash on Fraser, propelling him through a table, and Axiom completed the table destruction with a Spanish Fly on Dawkins.

As the match progressed, several competitors, including Gargano’s wife Candice LeRae, entered the fray, though her involvement resulted in her being bumped from the top of a ladder and sent through another on the outside. Bo Dallas also took part in the match, taking out multiple opponents by stacking tables on the outside of the ring. Andrade responded to Dallas’s aggression with a sunset flip powerbomb onto a ladder. In the end, Gacy capitalized on the confusion, climbing the ladder for the win and securing the titles for the Wyatt Sicks, reaffirming their dominance in the tag-team division.
