They highlight the country’s recent protests against proposed limitations on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NAB, and its specialized counterpart, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). These demonstrations have underscored the citizens’ commitment to preserving democratic values and institutional integrity. The authors argue that the protests reflect a collective desire to maintain transparency in governance and ensure that anti-corruption efforts remain independent and effective.
