Ukraine’s Democratic Transparency as a Model for Global Renewal

In a recent article published in Le Point, Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy have asserted that Ukraine has provided a global example of democratic transparency in action. They highlight the country’s recent protests against proposed limitations on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NAB, and its specialized counterpart, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). These demonstrations have underscored the citizens’ commitment to preserving democratic values and institutional integrity. The authors argue that the protests reflect a collective desire to maintain transparency in governance and ensure that anti-corruption efforts remain independent and effective.
