The Trump administration has reportedly considered reinstating a Confederate statue of Albert Pike in Washington, D.C., following its removal after being toppled by demonstrators in 2020. The statue, of a Confederate general and diplomat who negotiated alliances with slave-owning Native American tribes during the Civil War, was removed by National Park Service workers.
