Stephen Davis, widely known as the ‘MAGA Hulk,’ has shared his journey from a liberal to an outspoken conservative, crediting the conservative movement for his transformation. This shift occurred around 2017-2018, when he experienced a political awakening and realized his own complicity in the issues he previously opposed. Davis described his journey as a 180-degree turn, crediting the conservative movement for standing up and planting a seed in his mind.
Now, Davis advocates for American exceptionalism, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance and work for the Black community, rather than relying on entitlement programs. He also criticizes the Democratic Party for its alleged manipulation of the Black community and highlights the illegal immigration issue as a key factor in awakening the Black community’s consciousness. Davis remains steadfast in his new identity and is committed to his advocacy for conservative values.
According to Davis, one key issue has particularly struck a nerve with the Black community. He stated, ‘I think the biggest thing that’s really been waking up the Black community is the illegal alien situation where the government’s catering. Actually, I’ll say the Democrat Party’s catered to the illegal aliens as opposed to the Black, or, not even just the Black man, to the American.’ He believes that due to this, the Black community is becoming more aware and is resonating with the right side of history.
Despite his evolution, Davis says the MAGA Hulk persona isn’t going anywhere. He emphasized the timeless nature of his identity and the importance of standing for Americanism and making America great again. Davis also shared a fun fact about his strength — that he could bench 500 pounds, stating, ‘It’s definitely more than your typical liberal, I’ll tell you that much.’
