Germany has been actively encouraging Syrians to return to their home country, but the number of people who have decided to go back remains relatively low. Since the fall of Assad, only around 1,300 Syrians have returned to Syria. While the German government has been working to facilitate repatriation, the majority of Syrians continue to reside in Germany, citing various reasons for their decision to stay.
