Illegal Migrants Charged with Kidnapping and Rape of Woman in Kansas

Two illegal migrants from Guatemala have been charged with kidnapping and raping a woman from an Oklahoma casino, with allegations of repeated sexual assault throughout her journey to Kansas. The victim told authorities she was taken against her will from the First Council Casino & Resort in Newkirk, Oklahoma, and subjected to repeated rape and assault while traveling to Arkansas City, Kansas. Luis Miguel Dominguez-Barrios, an illegal migrant from Guatemala who crossed the southern border in 2013, is currently held on a $1 million bond after being charged with rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, and aggravated kidnapping. His alleged accomplice, Jose Fernando-Lux Morales, who entered the U.S. as an unaccompanied minor in 2018, is being held on a $500,000 bond for aggravated kidnapping. ICE has also issued arrest detainers, requesting local law enforcement to notify them before releasing criminals and holding individuals for up to 48 hours to allow ICE to take custody. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated that these criminals have no place in the country, and that under Trump’s leadership, they will face consequences for their crimes. The incident highlights the ongoing efforts by ICE and the Trump administration to target violent criminal aliens. Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security recently implemented a hiring campaign to recruit additional ICE agents as deportations and arrests ramped up under Secretary Kristi Noem and the Trump administration. Fox News Digital reported last week that more than 100,000 Americans have applied for the role. The Arkansas City, Kansas police department and First Council Casino & Resort in Oklahoma could not be reached for comment on the ongoing matter.
