Ukraine’s State Statistics Service to Restore 2022-2025 Data by Q2 2026

The State Statistics Service of Ukraine has announced plans to restore the missing statistical data for the years 2022 through 2025 by the second quarter of 2026. This initiative follows the resumption of mandatory statistical reporting from July 5th this year. The head of the service, Arsen Makarchuk, highlighted this development during an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, stating that the data will be published next year.

The restoration of statistical reporting is expected to fill gaps in the statistical indicators for these years when submissions were not made. This move aims to enhance the accuracy and reliability of Ukraine’s national data, which is essential for policy-making and economic planning. The delay in statistical reporting during 2022-2025 was likely due to the disruptions caused by the ongoing conflict with Russia, which have impacted various administrative functions and data collection processes.

With the resumption of mandatory reporting, the GSS will be able to consolidate and analyze the data, ensuring that the statistics reflect the true economic and social conditions of the country during those years. The publication of these data in the following year is a significant step towards improving transparency and providing a comprehensive overview of Ukraine’s development trajectory. This effort underscores the government’s commitment to maintaining accurate and reliable statistical records, which are vital for both domestic and international stakeholders.
