The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development has endorsed draft law No. 12117 for second reading, aiming to enhance the operation of industrial parks (IP). Deputy Chairman Dmytro Kysylevsky announced the committee’s support for the measure. The proposed law seeks to streamline administrative procedures, improve infrastructure, and attract more foreign investment to Ukrainian industrial zones.
Industrial parks have become a vital part of Ukraine’s economic strategy, particularly in regions like Kharkiv and Dnipro, where manufacturing and export-oriented industries are gaining traction. The reform aims to address long-standing issues such as bureaucratic delays, lack of modern facilities, and limited access to funding for entrepreneurs operating within these zones.
Kysylevsky emphasized that the legislation will provide clearer guidelines for park management, reduce the costs associated with setting up and operating businesses, and create a more attractive environment for both domestic and international investors. The proposed changes are expected to contribute to Ukraine’s broader goals of economic diversification and regional development.
Industry experts have welcomed the move, noting that improved industrial parks could significantly boost productivity and competitiveness. However, some analysts caution that the success of the reform will depend on effective implementation and adequate resources to support the changes.
